Hey, I’m ZEWJ! I’m a dancer, actor, and visual artist based in Denver, CO. An alumni from the University of Northern Colorado, I hold my BFA in Musical Theatre (and graduated Summa Cum Laude, which is more impressive when you learn I also had three minors, including Brewing Laboratory Sciences [chemistry]). Though I can give you a jazz square to be reckoned with, my true curiosity is Weird Characters and physical acting: be that non-human or larger-than-life characters, movement based/non-speaking roles that require intense and theatrical physicality, or slapstick comedy. I’m driven by a passion to learn and exceed my boundaries, which means I’m always working towards new skills like unicycling, hand-balancing, and speaking German. I’ve always been inspired by the uncanny, the unusual, the eerie, and the uncomfortable – endlessly intrigued by how best to embody the spirit of “what the hell was THAT?”

Outside of theatre, I’m also a visual artist working in ceramics (which you can check out here and even buy a mug if you want). I also love sewing (mainly clothes and costumes), mask-making, baking, climbing trees, destination-less walks, gardening, and staring at walls.
